About The Festival

The annual Cardigan quays festival celebrates Cardigan's rich cultural and maritime heritage.

This is our town. The place where we live, laugh and play. The place where we work, we chat and where we sleep at the end of each day. This is the town that has been the fortified seat of kings, that has given birth to the Eisteddfod, and that helped set sail to the dreams of many to a new land called America. History tells us that this is not any town. This is Cardigan. And Cardigan is not just a set of buildings. It's you and me. It's young and old. It's family and friends. It's all of us. We are the jigsaw pieces that make up Cardigan.

This year the festival is over the weekend of the 26th & 27th of August 2011. The Friday evening cabaret show was a huge success last year and we couldn't cater for all the requests for tickets. We are limited to around 120 seats for the 3 course dinner and entertainment, so if you want to be guaranteed a ticket please book early to avoid disappointment....they will go fast!

Saturday will be a busy day of music, crafts, river activities, food stalls from artisan producers, local fayre, fish, beers, cheeses, breads, workshops, performers and a whole wealth of sights, sounds, tastes and wonderous experiences to delight and entertain.

All this against the backdrop of the idyllic beautiful River Teifi flowing gently down to the open sea.

This is a special moment. And we are going to celebrate it like no other point in our history. The Cardigan Quays Festival will see to that. You will see a celebration of our past, and just as important, our future. Come and share it with us!
